With Entalare Maasai Adventures, your tour is fully customizable. All trips have a set itinerary with estimated times and detailed route maps. From one day of the top highlights to seven or more days of exploring every corner of the local countryside for the best views and the rarest finds, you can have it your way. Do you want to experience Kenyan mountain climbing and witness Samburu culture? Do you want to see the great jumbo elephants of Amboseli? Or see the animals that thrive in the hot waters of Lake Turkana? It is all possible, and Kevin is happy to work with you for your perfect trip.

Sample itinerary (4 days 3 nights)

Day 1

8:00- Arrival at Jomo-Kenyatta airport
8:40- Refreshment break at Gretsa hotel
9:00- Departure through Maimahiu Escarpment to Narok
13:00- Lunch at local restaurant en route
13:30- Departure to Maji Moto Hot Springs
15:00- Continue to Maasai Mara National Reserve

Day 2

5:00- Morningstar game drive or balloon ride, followed by breakfast
8:00- Cultural village tour- walking with the Massai
12:00- Lunch at camp or in the park
14:00- Afternoon game drive
18:00- Sun downer cruise, followed by dinner

Day 3

5:00- Morning game drive, followed by breakfast in the park
12:00- Departure to Nairobi through Lake Naivasha
20:00- Arrival at hotel in Nairobi

Day 4

8:00- Transfer to airport or preferred border

The cost of each tour is adjusted based on the activities and the number of clients, with dollar exchange rates taken into consideration. Kevin can give you a precise cost for your trip once you chat with him to work out an itinerary.

How you will travel

All tours are done with James (a fully licensed tour operator) in partnership with local providers depending on the destination. The vehicles are modern and comfortable, and the accommodations vary from the most luxurious tented camps to simple campsites in the wild, depending on your preference.

Meet your guides

**James Lukeine** is a local resident of Narok South subcounty, at the doorstep to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. He has 16 years of experience in guiding motorized tours and an accident-free record. He has an excellent knowledge of all national reserves and game parks in East Africa.

**Nick Sanaet** is a well trained driver guide who has experience in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. He is well versed with tourist destinations, cultural activities, and has a passion for a combining cultural experiences and fun tourism activities. Nick has been in the tourism industry for 16 years, mostly with American, British and German guests.

**Kelvin Ololdapash** is responsible for logistics and plays an administrative role for Entalare Maasai Adventures. Kelvin is a business management graduate who works as a social entrepreneur.

We’re lucky. Having been born in the Maasai Mara ward of Narok County, we know the terrain, the people, and the wild better than most. We cannot tell you we can smell where a lion is lying, but we don’t need to because we usually already know where they are lying!

Current travels

With the current COVID situation, James, Nick, and Kelvin have been focusing on offering experiences to local tourists from Nairobi, Nakuru, and Mombasa. All trips take all possible precautions to stay as COVID-safe as possible. Recent trips include:

Maji Moto trekking safaris down to Lake Magadi for up to two months in the bush with a donkey cart to carry all of your belongings.
Cultural trips to the Loita Maasai forest, where guests can see animals traverse the huge Loita Hills facing Tanzania and experience the cultural spirituality of the Loita Maasai, believed to harness a great superpower that they use to protect and preserve the forest. Cultural chiefs called “Laibon” are at hand to give cultural lectures and share the history of the Loita people.
